Do some of your more upmarket accommodations have a lower occupancy rate than others? Would you like to better distribute the travellers in your establishment and generate more revenue, while building customer loyalty by automatically offering them personalised discounts?
Incentive sales are the ideal solution.
To get started, go to the Upsells tab on the left-hand side of your screen. Next, select the accommodation from which the up-sell can be triggered and set the terms and conditions.
The first line will be used to define the accommodation to which the up-sell is to be directed. In the case of a hotel, for example, an up-sell from the Standard Room to the Comfort Room could be envisaged.
The next two fields will enable you to customise the description of your up-sell: the sub-heading and the text that will be displayed when this function is activated.
Next, you will need to set a discount amount in relation to the retail price, for the top offer. This amount can be fixed or a percentage, and you can decide to round it off.
Before defining how the up-sell will be distributed, you can choose to offer another accommodation for the up-sell if the first accommodation is not available on the dates selected by the customer.
There are three ways to distribute the incentive sale:
Suggest the offer at the time of booking, i.e. in the booking engine.
Suggest the offer by email before arrival, which you can personalise from the "E-mails" tab in the "Customer Relations" section.
Suggest the offer when the customer arrives (check-in), i.e. from your elloha account, in the reservation file.
Finally, you can set :
The publication dates for the incentive sale: the period during which the incentive sale will be visible.
The incentive sale booking dates: the period during which it will be possible to book the services covered by the incentive sale.
For example, you may decide to publish an incentive sale from today, but for bookings only during the months of October to December of the current year, which generally correspond to the low season months.
Here's how the statistics are calculated:
What you should have sold: total services initially added to the basket by your customers before the sales incentives were displayed.
What you sold: total of services finally booked by your customers after the display of the sales incentives after display of the sales incentives.
Additional income generated thanks to elloha: additional income obtained thanks to this functionality.
You now have a new sales lever. What if you could go even further with private sales?
